	Modification of the 2.0T FSI engine far beyond OEM power levels requires an additional volume of high-pressure fuel especially in the midrange (3000-5000rpm) of the powerband. To explain why this fuel is needed for the midrange, you will first need to understand how the fuel delivery system works on the 2.0 TFSI engine. Please see the link below for information: JKM initially started supplying high volume/pressure 2.0 TFSI fuel pumps to customers in 2007. We have tried and tested many of the solutions available to the market. JKM have tested items that replace the fuel pump internals only (larger and stepped piston desing) and the APR design (larger but constant diameter piston as per the OEM Hitachi design). Following long term reliability testing feedback JKM are now only supplying APR TFSI fuel pumps for 2.0 TFSI applications as we believe that APR has the most superior mechanical design. The APR fuel pump design replaces more than just the piston and bore. The piston diameter is increased along with the complete re-engineering of the pump internals to suit the high volume design. This design approach will drastically reduce the possibility of fuel to oil mixture during the service life of the fuel pump. Pump overview - Constant Diameter piston - Stepped Piston Newly designed components are used throughout, such as a larger spring energized seal for a leak tight operation alongside a Diamond like Piston coating increasing surface hardness for a highly reliable operation. In order to maintain the Highest Quality Standards all APR Fuel pumps are built at the APR facility in Alabama USA, where they are put through an aggressive post build testing process - ensuring that when you get an APR fuel pump, its reliability is without any question. Your current TFSI fuel pump must be in good condition, mechanically and electrically fully serviceable. An inspection will be made by JKM and again by APR Europe who will ultimately decide if the pump is sufficient to use for this upgrade at APR USA. Beginning in 2007, APR Motorsport brutally tested the FSI High Pressure Fuel Pump for thousands of miles at high stress levels. All three race cars successfully completeted their first seasons without a single issue from the APR High Pressure Fuel Pump. The team continues to put each pump though the same brutal testing race after race.	After seeing the great success of APR's own motorsport team, Volkswagen Motorsport of Germany commissioned APR for their own High Pressure Fuel Pump needs. The 24 hours of Nürburgring is considered to be one of the most demanding endurance races in modern history and knowing that millions of dollars of preparation investment could hinge on the results of such a critical component, VWMS chose to GO APR.	APR has accomplished Tier-1 supplier status with SEAT Sport soley due to SEAT's needs for a quality High Pressure Fuel Pump solution. SEAT Sport operates several spec racing leagues throughout several different countries and chances are if you're driving a SEAT 2.0T FSI race car, you've got APR under the hood.	Volkswagen Group of America's own R-GTI concept car has more than 430 horsepower and plenty of fueling thanks to an APR Stage III Turbocharger System and the APR High Pressure Fuel Pump. VWGoA relies on APR for the engine performance of their concept car development and this is a great testament to APR's status as the world's leader in VAG performance.

Prior to installing an APR fuel pump (or up rated fuel pump internals if this is your chosen route) the inspection required is very easy to make. If the top of the cam follower for the fuel pump is found to be wearing excessively then this replacement OEM part is required to avoid expensive damage as a result of a cam follower failing.

They bolt on with no modifications and are the perfect upgrade for anyone going for a bigger turbo (K04 etc) when paired with correctly coded software. These injectors can offer the extra boost in fuelling needed for greater performance gains from your big turbo TFSI vehicle. JKM also include the required VAG Injector installation kit with each fuel injector - (New fuel rail seals and injector locking tab)
