Below you will find Engine Mounting systems, bushes and inserts for Volkswagen, Audi, Seat and Skoda applications starting from year 1997 (MK4 platform). JKM can supply any engine mounts from Vibra-Technics and THS Performance as well as bushes and inserts from Powerflex. Powerflex torque arm mount (Dog Bone insert)

Under hard acceleration, your entire engine and transmission actually rotates due to compliance in the factory bushings. While the soft factory bushings do a good job of dampening engine vibration, they can also create a rubbery, vague response in the vehicle's powertrain.
Powerflex offers a set of polyurethane bushings to go into your car's lower engine torque arm. The torque arm connects the front subframe to the bottom of the car's transmission. With the Powerflex bushings installed, your shifts will feel more crisp and defined.

Please note that polyurethane is not as compliant as rubber you may notice a minor increase in ride harshess and engine vibration after installation.

THS Performance FR3 Engine mount system (MK4)
FR3 Engine Mount System
THS Performance have developed a new engine mounting system for 1.8T MK4 type V.A.G applications. (Other fitments are also listed)

The outer casing of the mounting system maintains stock appearance, whilst the internal rubber has been carefully re-engineered by means of shape and stiffness to reduce engine/drive train movement.
The rubber is 30% stiffer than standard but because of the re-engineered shape the engine movement is reduced by over 50% without transmitting any serious engine vibration back into the vehicle unlike polyurethane mounts.
Extra control over the engine and drive train makes for more precise power transmission to the road. Other benefits are reduced stress on the exhaust system.

The VW factory transmission side engine mount connects the gearbox to the chassis and was designed as a soft flexible mount to provide a very comfortable drive.
A drawback is the high amount of engine movement under torque load and on hard acceleration.
VF-Engineering designed, tooled up and manufactured a complete new replacement, containing specially designed molded high durometer polyurethane bushes. The mount is constructed from billet (ingot) aluminum and supplied with high tensile hardware. Billet is physically twice as strong as cast and this mount is designed for strength. Fitting should take no more than 60 minutes and fits all MK4 chassis including Golf, Jetta, Bora, Beetle, Audi TT, A3, and S3. VF recommends changing side mounts in pairs only

The VW factory rear engine mount was designed as a soft mount flexible mount to provide a very comfortable drive. Its drawback was the large amount of engine movement it allowed under torque load and on hard acceleration. Engine movement of the decreases stability under high performance driving conditions and gear selection.
VF-Engineering made a complete replacement billet mount fitted with molded, high durometer polyurethane inserts. The mount is constructed from billet aluminum and supplied with high tensile hardware. Which means the stock mount will snap before the VF mount even bends. Fitting should take no more than 20 minutes.
